It looks like Thai chili sauce. Maybe something similar..
It doesn’t look very Japanese (especially with sashimi). Know what ethnicity the owners/sushi chefs are?
Bro at least describe the taste.

Ponzu is a citrus sauce, never seen it offered with sushi or sashimi
Looks delicious
Is that the kitchen sink strainer?
Did you ask the server ?
Not optimal at all
If it’s korean then it’s similar to a dipping sauce I make with garlic, green onion, onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, and sesame seeds. Its called yangnyum jang “korean everything sauce” Is that more of the flavor profile?
I’ve been served same sauce and it had a prominent wasabi flavour
Looks like a garlicy spicy ponzu sauce.
Pico de gallo /s
Was there a soft shell crab on that white plate?
Chimichurri
Looks delicious
The shit that collects in your kitchen sink drain
Looks a lot like prik nam pla but that’s Thai, and doesn’t belong on a sushi platter.
