My partner and I are planning to visit okinawa during early february for a month (maybe more!)
We’re from Canada and want to come experience the food, sights and culture. I want to take some cooking classes to learn how to make okinawan local cuisine.
Is feb okay weather-wise ? Is it possible to have beach days or go swimming ?
What are good areas to stay?
Is it easy to get around speaking very Japanese ?
Are there local pick-up football games? I love football and would love making some
new friends playing.
What are some ways to meet people and make friends ?
Any local customs we should be wary of to be respectful and not be annoying tourists ?
