Mates I’m trying to buy a tv asap from AmazonJP but I’m at a loss. What is a tunerless tv? I just need something that I can watch local news( I have an outdoor satellite on the house) and have HDMI ports for a fire stick.

Tunerless TV is TV which is was specialized to see streaming service. We cannot watch terrestrial broadcasting and BS, communication satellite broadcasting because it does not incorporate tuner like general TV.
It’s a TV that cannot be hooked to an antenna and watch NHK… You can only use it like a monitor.
People buy it to avoid paying NHK, because it’s a device that cannot be used to watch NHK…
Got it one for about 70k. Android tunerless tv. You cant hook up tv cable in it. But it have hdmi port, usb cable, wifi and all. So basically smart tv.
A tuner less TV is just a monitor with built in WIFI and streaming services. you will get ZERO terrestrial signals(NHK, TBS, Asahi, TV Tokyo, etc) the only local news you’ll get is abema news(which is pretty crap) and whatever blips of news you can get off YT.
