Cannot register CC with Rakuten e-navi

I’ve got the Rakuten combined debit/credit card (JCB) in the summer, have yet to use it.
I need to buy a new iPhone (¥220000), so wanted to check my max single purchase limit, and adjust if necessary.
I can login to the first e-navi screen fine using my Rakuten account/password, but after entering the credit card details, my DOB, and phone number, I get the following error message:

入力内容に誤りがあります。 生年月日または自宅電話番号がお届け内容と相違していま す。(02-801 802)

[There is an error in the input content.
The date of birth or home phone number is different from the delivery content. ( 02-801 802)]

I tried calling the following customer service number I had in my records:
0570-064-924
But it is an endless round of voice recordings. (My Japanese is not at the level I can understand the press key options). I tried staying on the line to get a human, but it never came.
I also tried calling the lost/stolen credit card hotline, but again a list of recordings I couldn’t understand.

I’ve been trying for days. In the meantime my iPhone order expired and has been automatically canceled. I’ll have to get in line for an order again…

Any ideas?
