Stay at home dad here in the Ishikawa area. Been here about a month and basically speak no Japanese, but I am trying to remedy that. I have two small children and am looking for activities to do during the day where people will be patient with us while we learn the language and culture. The Mormons have recently volunteered to teach me Japanese online and I am grateful but it is mostly Bible study group. I am limited to Ishikawa area because I don’t have a car but I am looking for Japanese lessons and maybe some music classes. I really would like to learn to play what I think is called the sanshin? It looks like 3 string snake skin banjo, but any classes or activities where we have to opportunity to learn we would be forever grateful. My goal is to eventually volunteer at the local community center.
