So I’ve been looking for a new job, and I applied at this Eikaiwa place. Eventually, they said I didn’t make the cut.
Then, out of the blue, I got an email from them asking if I’d like to do some substitute work a day a week in the coming month. I accepted.
My question is, why would they ask someone who they rejected to work for them to then work as a substitute teacher? And is this a test for me to see if I’m suitable for the company? Should I ask if this will lead to a full-time position if I do a good enough job?
