I am moving to Tokyo mid June 2024 to join a language school for a year. I’m looking for an apartment in or around Tokyo (max. 50mins by train to Shinjuku). Does anyone know of a good option, of finding an apt bigger than 35m2, preferably furnished and also not over 800.00 USD per month. I don’t mind having an older apt and being able to decorate it.
I’ve seen a lot of places that have a minimum of 2 years lease. Since i’m only staying 1, any recommendations on what to do? Also any good places where I might get good quaility but affordable furniture? I’ve heard it’s quite complicated disposing them again or even throw them away, as Japan has strict rules for recycling and all waste procedures. Thank you so much for your help.
I know there are student accommodations, but i’d prefere a place for myself as the other ones are around 14m2 (affordable student accomodations).
