This will be our first time to Japan. My girlfriend and I are in our mid 30’s, so we don’t really care about the nightlife. We don’t drink, smoke, or do karaoke. My Japanese is at N3 level at best, and my girlfriend speaks zero Japanese. I have some questions:
\- What’s the difference between the Suica and Pasmo card?
\- As of now, the JR Rail Pass Calculator (Japan-Guide) for my commute totals 52,000 yen. The 14-day JR Rail Pass is 80,000 yen. So it looks like it’s cheaper to forego the JR Pass. But I’m reading that the JR Pass covers buses and other lines in the JR network. Where can I get a map of these network? I want to see if it’s worth getting the pass.
Any recommendations or ideas are appreciated. Thank you.
