Masters in Environmental Engineering

Hello everyone!
As the title suggests, I’m an international student considering applying for a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Nagoya University in Japan. I’m excited about the program but have a few questions I hope someone can help address.
What is the overall job market for environmental engineers in Japan, especially for international graduates? Are there specific industries or areas with high demand? I’d love to understand the career landscape after graduation.
Although the program is English-based, I don’t currently speak Japanese. Do you think one year is enough time to learn the language effectively enough for daily communication and potential work scenarios? I’m open to language learning resources and support programs offered by the university.
I appreciate any insights and advice from current students, graduates, or anyone familiar with the field and academic environment in Japan. Your input will be invaluable as I weigh this important decision.
