Is it stupid to bring a few grand in cash each to exchange at airport for yen. We aren’t too worried about getting a better or worse exchange rate at airport but all our cards have foreign exchange fees and would like to avoid those. We were planning on paying for everything in cash. And considering Japan is pretty safe our main concern would just be to not lose it.
