What’s the best path to starting my own Eikaiwa?

I’m a native Japanese American fluent in both languages. I’ve been working in completely different industry, but lately I’ve been thinking I want to start my own company/business.

One of the businesses is Eikaiwa. However, I’ve never taught English before. So, my thinking is I should apply to somewhere, get some experience and then start my own as a side gig. If all goes well, side gig becomes my main gig.

So far, I’ve scheduled an interview at Amity. From what I gathered, they’re offering 170 days off work per year as a Seishain. Thinking that’ll be perfect for what I have planned, I’ve been preparing for what’s to come. However… researching the topic of Amity on Reddit is a disaster.

I know they’re not up to the standards of a good work place, but for those that have experienced Amity, and now running your own school, is it worth getting some experience at Amity?

If you have any better path solutions, I would appreciate it.

By the way, I’m a Japanese national, so, no issues with Visa or whatever.
