Can anyone answer my question about Kyoto Aquarium?
I’m with my family visiting Japan and while in Kyoto we visited the Aquarium without doing our research.
We were shocked to find two spotted fur seals in what was essentially a plastic tube filled with water – if you’ve been you’ll know what I mean.
I need to know for my peace of mind – can they get out? Do they ever come out of there?
This was just one small part of the horrors of the aquarium, and I already feel so dumb for going. Can anyone shine some light on the whole issue or even just share their insight on the evident lack of animal welfare in Japan exhibits?
Thanks 🙂
