Working holiday visa to Spouse visa

Hi guys! I moved to Japan in July and currently I’m living with my Japanese girlfriend (met her in Europe). We are planning to get married early next year. If apply for a spouse visa is it okey for the immigrant office that I only came here this recently, also just got married? Should switch to a work visa first? (I can do that too because have a stable job who willing to sponsor me) Which one should pick?

  2. Go for spouse of a Japanese national.

Technically the ability to change status from a working holiday is dependent upon the specific terms of the agreement between Japan and your country. Some of the agreements require that you leave at the end. Of course immigration doesn’t always enforce that, and they’re more likely to make an exception if you’re changing to a spouse.

They will not raise an eyebrow.
