Looking for a CVT transmission specialist in Osaka (North preferably) since my Nissan Moco is shitting it’s pants. Nissan quoted me 400k, and seven yes, 7 mechanics are too scared to do it. A simple CVT oil change (no drain and replacement ) paired with cleaning the gunk/steel/clutch fiber particulates and magnet then slapping in a new sump oil filter and maybe a new gasket.
Is it really that hard to find mechanics who want to make money? Or is a Gaijin the main reason I am having so much resistance to doing a potentially “explosive” job ( id never go after a mechanic since I’m ok with it going kabloowey).
hope anyone can help me
