I was supposed to go to Japan next month, but my start date was pushed and they say it is due to COE delays from the immigration office. They say the COE won’t even arrive until after my scheduled start date. They want me to pay for my own flight change from the USA out of pocket, which is absurd as that’s typically going to be weeks worth of salary.
Is anyone else experiencing this? I’m thinking about rescinding my acceptance of the job…
