Advice: Buying a house at 27

Hello,

Long time lurker here and I’m seeking for your advices. I wanted to hear your opinions about my decision of buying a house. I’m currently 27, single, no kids/family and have Japanese citizenship and got approval from the bank for a house loan. Total price of the house including the fees is around 5500万 and looking at the monthly mortgage around 14万 for 35 years with an interest rate of 0.32%. This property is located in Yokohama city in a very convenient location. 12 mins walk from the nearest station and 30-40 mins to Shibuya, Shinagawa, Meguro area, and within 10 mins to Yokohama station.

I currently live in Sagamihara and my major pain point living here is the location and travel time to central cities like Tokyo (I travel a lot for work). I thought paying 14万 with a brand new house with 4 bedrooms with reasonable travel time to big cities is a good deal than paying around the same price or more in Tokyo but with a small and tiny place. Since this is a huge purchase, I’m having doubts if I’m making the right decision here. Honestly, I don’t see myself living here more than 10 years since I see myself wanting bigger and nicer house. I’m thinking to either sell this or turn into rental property by the time I decided I want to move out.

Given the convenient location, my biased opinion here is I should be able to dispose this whenever I’m ready to move on to a different place. But I wanted to hear your thoughts, is my plan of selling or turning this to rental property a realistic move or am I going to be stuck with this one forever?
