Seven Lucky God Pilgrimage

It’s the time again for Shichifukujin Meguri. For those not in the know, it’s a Tokyo/Kanto tradition of visiting the shrines of the seven lucky gods in a designated area and collecting stamps/seals on a special placard. Most only run for 10 or so days after New Years. Some are preprinted cards that you stamp yourself and others are proper hand-written goshuin.

For those who participate, where are you hitting this year? I’ve done about 8 of them myself but am redoing the local ones with my son as a yearly tradition.

One tip: while the gold placards from the Daikokuten shrine looks cooler than the plain white cards from the others, the ink doesn’t stick well and unless you’re very careful, the end product doesn’t look as nice.
