Hi everyone!
So I will be in Tokyo for 3 month next year an I am really excited. It is a work related exchange, but I will have plenty of free time to discover Tokyo and lots of other parts of Japan. However, finding the “right” neighborhood to stay is not easy for me. Mainly because I have never been in Tokyo before and it seems quite impossible to get an idea of how life differs in the different areas. I know have an offer for a fully furnished apartment which seems to be quite reasonable. It is located close to yoyogi station (east exit – so basically between the station an the shinjuku gyoen park). I like the idea of living central, as I can get anywhere pretty fast. I also want to stay in an area with many izakayas, cafes etc. – so not too far off aka residential, but it shouldn’t be too buzzing as well. However, I have no clue if this specific area is extremely noisy (trainstation etc.) or not recommendable for other reasons. Can anyone give me some details about the area? what will living there be like? Any other recommendations?
I am thankful for any replies 🙂
