Let’s be honest, there’s a huge TV/wrestling bubble that has expanded since AEW was founded and now both AEW and WWE are throwing around massive amounts of money to attract talent from overseas, especially Japan. TK in particular feels the need to get a new “victory” every three months so he can post epic tweets. This type of spending will put NJPW and other Japanese companies in a very tight spot, and until the bubble pops, there’s probably a very good chance Puro companies will become “feeders” for bigger promotions in the US, who benefit from large TV contracts with media conglomerates. Thanks to social media, the wrestling world is more open than ever before, and even native stars in Japan see the opportunity of getting paid the big bucks too much to pass up.
