Netflix’s “Old Enough!” features a young boy in the first season, episode 2 tasked with squeezing juice. As he’s squeezing the fruit to make juice he says something that sounds like “gweek gweek” or “gwee gwee”. I’m trying to figure out if this is a common ideophone/mimetic/onotomatopeia used in the Japanese language or a sound he’s made up on his own. I tried looking it up to no avail, anyone have any insight?

Partner and I looked it up, apparently “squeeze” in Japanese is “スクイーズ” or “Sukuīzu”, but my partner removed the first and last (kanji?) symbols to make: “クイー”, which translated looks like “kuī” and sounds like”kwee”. Does this sound like it could be what it is?
It’s guriguri, they have it in the Japanese closed captions, and it’s the sound associated with rubbing or turning things against each other.
