Hi there, trying to engage a lawyer for visa purposes.
I’m planning to live and perhaps start a business in a town in Hiroshima, right next to Okayama — the nearest big-ish town is Fukuyama.
Currently, I’m looking at 2 options for a path toward obtaining a visa. I have a friend who runs several guesthouses and is willing to sponsor me for a visa, along the lines of a skilled worker in the hospitality industry. Alternatively, I can start my own business.
Would it be more beneficial for me to engage a larger lawyer/firm in Tokyo, who might be more familiar with the processes at a national level, or would it be better to engage a local lawyer that is more aware of what the local region is looking for such that certain business proposals might be better received?
Thank you!
