  1. Imagine how awful Taro Aso’s sexist, piece of shit remark to his terrified young secretary was when she brought him this news. Remember, this is the stuff he says *in private*.

  2. Makes me wonder if Japan actually has political freedom. I live here as a permanent resident, so I can’t vote. But seeing this kind of stuff and I think to myself, “what’s the damn point?”

  3. Ladies and gentlemen, Japan’s Prime Minister Kishida has achieved an 80% disapproval rating! It is called fu🤬🤬 glasses by the people.
    Did you know that?

  4. If the LDP is untouchable, with enough time (I’m talking 10-20-30+ years) is there a way that it could be shifted away from the Nippon Kaigi crowd and toward some moderates or “LDPs in name only” at least? Primaries and so on?

The posts saying gay marriage will probably happen in my lifetime are encouraging but not terribly helpful on their own, because I have no idea what even the first step would be if the LDP stays

  5. No problem. We will vote again in the next election anyway. Are the Japanese masochists? Or are they not willing to change anything for themselves? Given their tendency to not take responsibility, it would be hard for anyone to come forward and act. It’s really pathetic.
