I know we have the KOPW for fun gimmick matches, but that’s been pretty it for wacky gimmicks in NJPW. But now in a 3 month span we’ll have had the Tag Team Casket Match at December’s Road to Tokyo, and next month will be Bullet Club vs. United Empire in a 5v5 Cage Match.
I know it might be a bit early to call this a trend but it’s not like they’re just doing a normal Hardcore Match or even just a singles Steel Cage match, just feels like a change in direction to suddenly be doing very flashy gimmick matches like this
