I don’t have much experience with traveling on train during winter. Can someone kindly share some insights into the train services during a snowfall. For example, on an average how much snowfall needs to happen in order to suspend the service? I guess this also depends on the type of train and also the company ? I always use the google maps for train information but I am not sure if it accurately reports the suspensions and delays during bad weather, right ? in that case we have to check the individual company’s website such JR or Kintetsu (which I use a lot in Tokai). I was checking the JR website just now, and I see so many trains are suspended today due to ‘heavy snow’. Although trains of some other companies are still running in the same region.
