I apologise if this is a daft question, but my knowledge of finance is practically nothing.
I’ve just moved to Japan with JET. Single guy with low cost hobbies and a very low existing overheads. I need to send a bit of money back to my UK account to keep on top of outgoings from that account. But that’s about all.
Just looking for general advice on if there’s a ‘savvy’ currency to store my savings in compared to the pound or yen. I don’t plan to go back to the UK, but my future in Japan is not set and I hear both currencies are falling apart for reasons well beyond my understanding.
Any other general advice for a new resident is also appreciated.
