Hi everyone, I am going to Japan in May, and am going to be in Tokyo (near Tokyo Tower) for 4 days. During that time I was hoping to try some A5 Wagyu, as I hear it has a high percentage of fat, and the consistency is almost like butter. I was hoping to get some recommendations of good steakhouses that serve A5 Wagyu, and possibly places that offer beef from several regions around Japan, as I’ve heard there are very good ones outside of Kobe (which I’ve already tried). Would greatly appreciate any advice.

just going to copy my comment on another recent post, this is if you want a quick wagyu snack and are in the area:
i really enjoyed the skewers at Tsukiji Ihachi. It was 3300 yen per 3 piece skewer and we definitely thought it was worth it, just my opinion.
However we went to another one around the corner and while the steak was good, it didnt come close to the taste of Ihachi.
The bonus of Ihachi is that it’s open 24/7, we actually went there a second time on new years day when a lot of other places would normally be closed
