Recently, I wanted tickets to Cirque du Soleil. The close ones were all sold out, so I looked a few weeks in the future. Since I had problems inputting my name in katakana, I ended up looking at 4 or so ticket sellers. I was assuming that the sellers all had access to the same open seats and got a cut for carrying out the transaction. Is there no source that has all the available seats to choose from? Am I misunderstanding something, or is this how it works?
