First picture is the door I just picked up. Second picture is how I’m gonna try to install it. I’ve been looking for one of these for about a year now, finally found a good deal on one and it’s in amazing condition. It’s Keyaki 欅 which is a really good, heavy wood. I drove about 2 hours each way to get it, but it was 1/4 the price of most of these and in FAR BETTER shape than most, so definitely worth the drive.
This kominka interior should be done sometime next month. Excited that things are finally starting to come together. I’m ready to wrap this project up.
