Starting a small business as a resident.

Hello,

I know similar questions have come up before on this sub, but I would like to ask it for my own situation.

I am an American with a spouse visa and I work for a dispatch teaching company now. I’ve recently started selling products I make online and at events and while I’m not making enough from it to quit my teaching job yet, the results have been promising and I would like to grow it.
I’m looking to start either a Kojin Jigyo (sole proprietorship) or a Good Kaisha (LLC) to deduct expenses as well as establish a pathway for me to rent a small office in the future and one day leave my teaching job to do this fulltime if it works out.

I don’t have any real business experience myself, but several of my friends and family have recommended me to set up something official for the benefits. I have family in America who I asked for advice on LLCs, however, starting a Japanese GK is a bit more complicated with the language barrier and it seems to have more startup costs.

What is the best option for me in this situation?

Thanks in advance!
