Sakura has already started blooming…in Tokyo too

Is this normal?

  1. There are multiple types of sakura, some bloom early, some late.
In addition the iconic Someiyoshino sakura are all clones of each other. So if the one I can see from my balcony in Tokyo is not even budding there’s no way there’s one that’s growing leaves in the same city

  2. I recently visited Kawazu city to see the Kawazuzakura type of sakura and this pic is also one of them. I was really surprised that already they were past their peak (and therefore I was little disappointed). Even in this pic we see some green leaves on this tree. I wonder if it’s normal time for leaves or this year has been early due to the warm winter.
