We’ll be in Japan, likely Tokyo, during Golden week (unfort only time we could visit).
Do people have any tips for “surviving Golden week” as a tourist?
I have been told the first few days are actually the better time to be in the likes of Tokyo because alot of locals leave the cities and head off to visit family/other things.
Is this true?
If so, for how long is it before locals return.
Obviously avoiding attractions like Universal Studios, Osaka Aquarium etc seems sensible during Golden week.
