Recently purchased a home in Niigata prefecture and it was my understanding that all the taxes were paid when I had the property registered during the closing and finalizing of the sale. But I have received another tax form asking for a 3% tax on the land and 4% tax on the home itself for the acquisition of the home.
If I wanted to check and ensure these taxes were already paid how could I check? There isn’t a government office specified on the green form I received by mail.
