I’m a tourist and this is my second day here in Tokyo. At Asakusa station, I saw a foreign woman exiting the train and before she did, she punched a person next to me in the face. I was startled and it took me a second to realise what happened. It was so random. The person who got punched was a Japanese and I tried asking if she was fine, but before I could someone else asked and they seemed to forget the entire thing by the time we arrived at the next station. It all happened too fast.
I know such things happen everywhere, but this interaction was weird because there was no reason why this took place and the woman who got punched was obviously hurt but just didn’t care. Also, I could have been the one hurt and I feel bad that I could not be of much help.

Anyway, I just wanted to share a weird experience.
