I am travelling to South America from Tokyo for a while at the end of the year on business and wondering if I should let my credit card companies know ahead of time so there’s less chance my card will be rejected for transactions?
Last time I was in Europe, on multiple occasions my Rakuten card was declined due to their overzealous security and I’m wondering if you let them know if it reduces the chances of this occurring.
Is this something that is done in Japan?
