Is Tokyo Monthly 21 a legit real estate agency?

Hi there,

I am looking for a short-term rental in Tokyo and I found this real estate agency. Tokyo Monthly 21 ( [https://eng.tm21.co.jp/e](https://eng.tm21.co.jp/e) )

Has someone used their service? The places look really nice and they don’t require any deposit. There is not much info about this company.

  1. Yes they are legit, but compared to a long-term rental they’re overpriced.
I lived in one for 4 months, and had a decent experience.

  2. I had a look at one closest to me and they wanted 144,000 yen/month for rent and 54,000 yen/month for utilities and management, plus a one time (at check in) cleaning fee of 19,800 yen.

At least all the bills are included.

  3. yes, i’m currently using their services for a few months in Tokyo and i’m having a great experience!

  4. I’m using [Apts.jp](https://Apts.jp) and they recently have added a monthly apartment category. There are not many apartments listed, but looks like it’s fairly prices (just one room apartments though). It’s like 130.000 yen and 20.000 yen management fee, but no deposit etc.

  5. If you need a place for such a short stay, try “service apartments”. It’s usually something like a hotel but with all amenities, like fully equipped kitchen and washing machine. Business often use then for people on a longer business trips. They often even have a cleaner etc included in the price.
For example B:CONTE ASAKUSA is one of those. Only downside is that they are a bit more pricy, but if it’s for a short stay, you will have there already everything you need.
