Is this sushi okay to consume? It tastes okay but the discoloration is throwing me off🙃

  1. It’s raw food. If it looks or smells off to you. Just throw it away.

  2. Smell is the best indicator imo, then taste, then color. Dark spots can just be bruising.

    I’d eat it as long as the smell/taste are not off.

  3. Salmon can have those gray areas and be perfectly fine. Go by smell. Smell is the safest way to tell if it is ok.

  4. it’s perfectly fine, just not trimmed enough – salmon meat is brown/gray near the skin.

  5. If you already tasted it and it smells/tastes alright then I think you’re in the clear

  6. The grey is just the layer between the skin and meat. Thats normal. More skilled chefs would be able to get that skinned with a silver shine and most chefs would remove that grey layer for presentation but all safe to eat. (Confirm color, smell and texture for freshness)

  7. That’s the darker spots look like it’s just bloodline It’s not the Tastiest bit most sushi people cut it out just sloppy work really
