Hi all, a few questions – we will be coming from Osaka on the 17th and getting off at Karasuma Station which is ON Shijo Dori, so I’m just wondering how packed will it be? We are looking to arrive in the morning during the parade (say around 830-930am), will the crowd be so packed we will have trouble walking through the crowd with our suitcases?
We are staying at Hotel M’s Est Shijo Karasuma which is one block south of Shijo on Higashinotoin dori.

Also, will many restaurants close on 17th or surrounding dates? I’ve tried checking but it seems like not many have updated yet on social media or tabelog.
