My hesitation & Japanese Language Schools

Hey everyone, I would appreciate if you can read this to the end I will try my best to make it as short as possible 🙂

long story short, I started learning Japanese NOV 2022, Passed the N3 DEC 2023, now mid-way N2 and I will take the JLPT N2 in JUL 2024. I am now approaching my last days at university, I’m a senior and doing an internship and 7th of May will be my last day, and I am planning to go to Japan for a long period of time for two reasons, having fun (as a graduation gift for myself from myself) and to see if I can decide whether Japan will be a goal to live in by 2025-2026 or it will be just a destination for my vacations, I have been there in the last Sakura season and it was beautiful, but now I want to explore more places since I can get by with the language I know, also to polish my Japanese speaking skills.

Then why the hesitation?

Well my first plan was to go there for 3 months as a tourist, live with a Japanese Family for a while, and then rent a car and then explore the cities from Sapporo to Fukuoka to Tokyo to Kansai region to Shizouka and so on, and just be roaming free in Japan, sounds so good right? but what is my issue with that? is the fact that I want to stay longer, I do not think that 3 months are enough for my plans. So what is the other plan to stay longer? YES! language school, a student visa for 6 months-ish or more , but what is my issue with that also? I am afraid to be stuck in the school studying more than enjoying, also I have heard and read many complaints about language schools in Japan, but going to a language school will be an option if I want to stay longer, I want your help guys if I decided to go for a language school, are there any that focus on only speaking? or at least not the basic type of studying with textbooks, if you have any recommendations let me know, if you a person who experienced both and want to share some info with me I would appreciate it, also I would love to hear your opinions and discuss.

(please do not recommend working holiday visa and looking for job visa idk what it is called, I am from Saudi and it is kind of complicated to issue these types of visa, way more complicated than you imagine, and I have the money to either go as a tourist or language student, so I do not want to stress over these visas which are pain in the)

(for those that cannot read all of the kanji yet, here is a website that allows…
