I am studying in Tokyo from USA next January-April. I received the COE but I am confused on the process of how to get the visa – do I need to go to the embassy in person or can I submit everything by mail? I have seen contradictory information online so I thought I would ask here if anyone can explain or direct me to the proper resource for information. Thank you!
