Can a dispatch company legally forbid you from discussing your contract conditions with the client company? Would such a restriction be a violation of Article 21 under the Japanese constitution guaranteeing freedom of speech, expression, and association?
Has anyone signed up for Anytime Fitness with a foreign credit/debit card? I’ve heard it’s an issue for some gyms but it’s not clear on their website
Are self service jet/pressure wash car washes common in Japan. If so what’s the name of such a thing?
I’m looking for the stick type car wash, not the automated machine with the big rollers.
Basically in the future I’ll want to jet wash underneath my car because of road salt. However, as we live in an apartment, it’s something I won’t be able to do at home. So buying a Karcher or whatever isn’t really an option.

How easy is it to get fast-acting anxiety medications?
I have a couple of diagnosed anxiety disorders, but since they are generally manageable without medication, I haven’t ever been diagnosed in Japan, nor do I have my medical records handy. I’ve started having panic attacks prior to meetings for on-going work project. I need to get through the next couple of weeks, and then we’ll never have to deal with this client again and I should be fine.
During COVID, a friend of mine said he went to the doctor for something to help him get the vaccine (he passes out when dealing with needles). Said he went to the doctor and was prescribed a few weeks’ worth of Valium or Xanax, I can’t remember which. He said he didn’t need a new diagnosis, but neither of us are sure whether that was an exception for COVID and the vaccine, or if it’s just how things work here.
I’ll wait to get a new diagnosis or have my records sent if I need to, but if I can get it taken care of ASAP that would obviously be better.
To those living in mansions, when and where should you leave 粗大ごみ? There don’t seem to be any rules at mine specifically so I’d like to make sure…
