Hi there! As mentioned in the title, I have been wanting to study kanji in isolation but have been unable to make the decision between KKLC or RTK?
NOTE: I am not very keen on learning to write them **now**. Don’t get me wrong, I love calligraphy and would love to do it as well, but I’ll learn calligraphy and writing Kanji later once I’m fluent already, I believe many people on this sub agree as well *(I’ve read it in a lot of comments here)*
Firstly, I would love to know what are the benefits of each one, *how they are similar* in their teaching method and *how they aren’t*
Secondly, is it fine to learn Grammar and or Vocab alongside Kanji studies?
You may ask why do I even want to learn Kanji in isolation and the reason for that is, I find them *serene, very serene*. I just love the Sino-Japanese writing system, it’s mind blowing if you ask me. Especially the calligraphic form, I could watch someone do calligraphy for hours without being bored. So I want to learn and understand these characters standalone as well.
I know that it might take up more time but I’m fine with that now, I want to enjoy learning Japanese so I don’t mind if the journey is long, as *long as it is fun.*
