Getting copy of son’s Kiseki Tohon post-divorce

I need to get a copy of my son’s Koseki Tohon, although his mother and I divorced several years ago.

From what I read, since he’s my son, I can unconditionally get a copy of his Koseki at the ward/city office of registration without justification.

However I don’t know where the ward/city office of registration is. Apparently (unless I’m mistaken) the normal method would be to get my own Koseki Tohon which would in turn have some info about my son, but obviously as a gaijin my Koseki doesn’t exist.

Any idea how I could do this?
