28 y/o female from the US trying to figure out what to wear at a Michelin Star restaurant in Tokyo.
I’ll be going to Esquisse (http://www.esquissetokyo.com/) and JO (http://jo-tokyo.jp/) the last week of February for dinner.
Esquisse seems to be more business attire, as they have it listed they prefer jackets for men. Can’t find a dress code for JO.
Based on what I’ve read elsewhere/feedback from another thread I know not to show cleavage and cover shoulders. Is a knee length dress appropriate? Should it be longer? Is it a problem if the knee shows?
Trying to not be under/over dressed! I’ve been to numerous Michelin Star restaurants before and I know it’s typically business casual to business, but even that is a big range.
