Hi everyone,
I had an inflexible schedule this year but I had to visit in Japan so I chose to go during golden week and I’m starting off in Tokyo.
However, someone told me that a lot of smaller restaurants will be closed during this period.
Will I have trouble finding unique japanese restaurants (that’s not mcdonalds or anything) to try or should I expect to see 50% or more shut down for the holidays? I’m having a hard time finding info on the statistics or details on restaurant closures in Tokyo.
Also, I see April 30th, May 1st and 2nd aren’t official holidays, would most restaurants be open during this period or is it usually closed for the whole week?
