Hi everyone,
We’re making a flying visit to Kyoto between Tokyo and Osaka between the above dates. It will be our second trip there and I think I have the main bases covered (we will go back to places we loved such as Arishiyama but will also hire a guide for a day to cover the main things we missed last time).
The one thing I’m struggling with is finding information about special events on the above dates, even though there appear to be two (the final day of Gion Matsuri on the 31st and an event where all geishas go out into the streets and thank the tea house owners for their custom over the past year on 1st Aug). Does anyone know what these events are and where/when they are held please?
