An agency submitted my PR application in September. I recently realized my residence card is dangerously close to expiring (“period of stay (date of expiration)” is early April). I think they should have applied for renewal as well, but now they’re asking for 73,300 for that… My status is “Spouse of a Permanent Resident”.
Since I had help with the application and initial immigration process, I have no idea what’s involved. Is this typically a matter of scheduling an appointment at the immigration office or is it relatively complicated? Can it be done with minimal Japanese language skills?
