I don’t know if I’ve suddenly lost my memory but does that BoSJ winner challenge for the title at Dominion… the fact that this along with the Jr tag titles are being defended on the New Japan Road shows continues to showcase how little NJPW cares or respects their Jr division.

1. Lmfao, of course. They needed top draw hiromu to headline this “big” show.

2. If it were at Dominion it would maybe be the semi-main event, though I could also see it being third from the top (under the US Title match). There’s a lot going on on that card, it doesn’t really need the Jr Title match that could easily get lost in the shuffle. So I don’t mind it being a Korakuen Main where it’ll be *the* match on the show too much, especially since it’s NJPW’s go-home show for Forbidden Door.

   (Also there’s definitely a chance that Jay’s winning at Dominion [and maybe all/some of the other BC guys] so they want to end the show with the big “here’s Bullet Club with all the titles” moment, but they also still plan on Hiromu winning the belt from Ishimori before Forbidden Door.)

   EDIT: I also saw someone speculating that it could be that those Korakuen shows (particularly the 21st) will be sparse on big names because talent could be traveling to the US to appear on the Dynamite on the 22nd since it’s the go-home for Forbidden Door. That would definitely make sense of this booking, if it’s the case.

3. Honestly I think it’s an acknowledgement that perhaps they messed up with the winner. At what point do people stop caring about seeing Hiromu always having/chasing the belt. Let him bring something to the jr tag division with Bushi or chase Evil and the Never.

4. I said it in another thread but I can see the logic of not doing the Jr title match because they just did it as the A block finals. Of course, this could have been avoided by having anyone from B block win.
