Do you feel like Japanese lacks a lot of expressive adjectives?

I may just be a low level in my Japanese level and haven’t read enough Japanese novels yet but I feel like there is a lack of expressive adjectives. For example in English we have: Glorious, amazing, fantastic, wonderful, magnificent, marvellous, great, super, fantastic ect as long as many slang words. But in conversation and text I feel like everyone just uses すごい、素晴らしい、やばい. Do some languages/cultures have less expressive words than others?
