Has anyone had experience keeping their current job, relocating to Japan, and having an EOR or PEO handle their payroll? It seems like you’ll need to have a letter of employment with your salary for general services in Japan, but I’m curious if everyone needed to negotiate their salary in yen, rather than USD, EUR, or whatever the currency is of their company’s base country.
I would prefer to negotiate my salary in my home country’s salary, but I’m not sure if this is allowed in Japan since the exchange rate is flexible, how that affects taxes, etc.
Edit: I’m assuming I need to negotiate my salary in yen, especially if I’m applying for the HSP visa.
