Thoughts on Ogata Kaiseki in Kyoto?
Hello Kyoto subreddit! I am in the planning phase of our trip to Tokyo and Kyoto in July. My husband and I would like to enjoy one very nice meal in each of the cities. I was able to secure a dinner reservation at Ogata in Kyoto. Does anyone have any experience at this restaurant they would like to share? We wanted a semi-traditional kaiseki dinner, as we have not had one before and it is our first time in Kyoto! We do love all sorts of Japanese food, but just never had this type before.
Thank you for your advice. If you have any other must have restaurants in Kyoto please let me know as well. So far I only have Kanegura Hotpot in our itinerary.
